There are three types of human geography courses offered through the Centre for Social Sciences. Introductory coursework (GEOG 200 and GEOG 201) is meant to introduce students to fundamental approaches in human geography and to demonstrate the relevance of specific geographic concepts and tools for understanding and responding to human problems. Sub-disciplinary coursework (GEOG 311) is intended to introduce students to specializations that have developed around specific topic areas in human geography. Regional coursework (GEOG 302) provides a detailed exploration of the history and geography of a specific region.
